A lot of companies have adopted the work from home set-up since the pandemic started. However, this set-up might still go on until every country in this world has achieved herd immunity. With this new normal work situation working adults have been trying on for over a year now, most people claim their mental health have gone downhill and is probably getting worse.

To serve as our help to everyone out there who needs this list, we have compiled some relaxation tips to help you get through this stressful work set-up. And we really do hope this list helps.

1 Sweat It Out

We all know that we must maintain an active lifestyle to be able to have a healthy body. And having this kind of healthy routine enables one to be physically fit. However, one thing you may take note of is that working out makes you mentally fit, too.

That’s right! Imagine this scenario, for every sweat that rolls down your face and body while working out, stress and anxiety rolls down with it. Definitely something we need during this unfamiliar set-up, right?

2 Have Some Time For Yourself

The feeling of burning out during the work from home set-up is common because our homes are not built to be a place of work. And we know how being home means doing chores alongside working for your bosses who look for you non-stop.

This is why you should devote some time for yourself. Shut yourself out from the world and enjoy doing some hobbies or even meditate. Make yourself a bubble bath and bring in some wine and watch movies while you’re in it!

3 Reach Out

Sometimes, keeping everything to yourself can do more harm than good. And we think it’s because of the stigma that you are called weak when you are seen breaking down. Well, we are here to tell you that it is time to throw those thoughts away and call your favorite person.

Spend some time and bond with your family while indoors or set-up a virtual date with your friends or loved ones far away from you. During this stressful working set-up, it is important to have a support system.

4 Write Down Your Feelings

If you still really find it hard opening up or reaching out to someone, in the fear that you may be bothering them, then you can open up to yourself. One way for you to do this is by writing down your thoughts or feelings.

Whatever that’s going in your mind that’s bothering you or just simply something you want to share, it can be written down. Keep some date stamps on your write-ups and to help you look back on that day in the future. Or if not, you can store them away somewhere. What’s important is you let it all out.

5 Help Other People

Helping others is just like hitting two birds with one stone. Helping other people can give you this feeling of fulfillment and make you feel better. And that person you just helped will feel a little weight go off their backs.

Physically volunteering can be difficult to do these days as having physical interactions should be limited. You can start off with helping in little ways such as buying a separate pack of groceries and either leaving them in the grocery counter for a homeless person to claim or giving it to them directly when you come across them. We all have to remember that a little kindness goes a long way. Starting with yourself is the most important step. Might as well start now.
